Frequently asked questions

Booking & renters

It covers the rental cycle on the vehicle side, end to end: customer registration and document verification, booking, live tracking, geofencing, driving behaviour, utilisation, maintenance status, remote vehicle control, billing generated automatically from actual usage, and payment collection against your own QR code. Your staff do not record kilometres or hours anywhere — the vehicle reports them.

The renter uploads their driving licence when they book, and your team checks the details and approves the booking before the vehicle is released. Nothing about that approval is automatic — a person on your side looks at the licence and decides. For self-drive rental, that check is what separates a booking from a liability.

Tag it. A vehicle under maintenance is marked as such by your team, and it stops appearing as available, so no customer can book it while it is off the road. That prevents the worst version of the problem — a confirmed booking against a vehicle that cannot go anywhere — and shows you how much of the fleet is unavailable at any time.

Billing & disputes

The vehicle reports it. Once a customer has registered and taken the vehicle, distance, duration and time of use are recorded by the device and flow straight into the charge for that booking, with no manual entry at any point. If a device is disconnected, an alert is raised — so the usage record does not develop quiet gaps.

Payment is collected against your own QR code, shared through the platform, so money reaches your account directly rather than sitting with an intermediary. Everything up to that point — the usage, the amount, the record of the booking — is handled in the platform. Gateway integration is not part of the standard product today and would be scoped separately.

A trip-level record of where the vehicle went, how far, for how long, and how it was driven, tied to the rental period. Disputes over extra kilometres, extended hours or rough usage usually end quickly once there is a log rather than two recollections. It also protects you from the reverse — renters wrongly accused.

Tracking & control

Yes, and there is a safety limit built in: a vehicle cannot be immobilised while it is travelling above 5 km/h, so the command cannot be triggered on a moving vehicle. Immobilisation needs the wired device rather than the plug-in OBD unit, so it has to be chosen at installation. The right to use it should be written into your rental terms.

Set a geofence and you get an alert when a vehicle leaves it. This is the most common source of quiet loss in rental — vehicles taken well outside the agreed zone, returned with no record, and no basis to charge for it. With a geofence breach logged against a specific booking, the conversation at return is factual.

Both, though the hardware differs. Cars take a plug-in OBD unit. Two-wheelers use a wired device, and one version connects with just two wires to the vehicle battery, which your own staff can fit without a mechanic. Adding remote immobilisation to a two-wheeler is more involved and usually needs a workshop visit, so plan that into your rollout.

Utilisation is tracked per vehicle, so you can see which units are on rent, which are idle and where the idle ones are parked. For a rental business, that is usually the fastest financial insight the platform gives — a fleet is rarely underperforming evenly, and the low performers tend to stay invisible until someone measures them.
